Settlement Company
You have the right to select a settlement agent (otherwise known as a closing company) to handle the closing of your sale.
The settlement company you choose will:
- Collect all the necessary closing documents
- Order a title search
- Organize loan documents
- Disburse money after closing
- Record deed
This is the location of where closing will occur, and where you will go to sign the closing documents.
