Welcome home!

I am a Peninsula local and want to talk about all the great stuff around here!  I’ve lived in Hampton Roads for over 15 years, so whether you’ve lived here your whole life, a few years, or you’re brand new to the area; my goal is to post useful information to all!  If you want more information on real estate, general Hampton Roads living, and/or local activities, I’d love to answer your questions or add your topic to my blog!  Feel free to reach me at alyssagodwin@lizmoore.com.  Feedback is always encouraged and I’d love to get you involved in this community effort!

Of course I’m sure you’d love to know a little about me as well!  I graduated from Virginia Tech as a Psychology major (Go Hokies!) back in 2010 and shortly after found my passion as a licensed Realtor.  As cliché as it sounds, I have a career I look forward to every day – I enjoy working with people and helping them find their dream homes.  I earned my Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation early on to best assist my clients and even accepted a prestigious Rookie of the Year award in 2013!

My goal is to exceed expectations, not just meet client needs.  As your real estate professional, I have two core principles: integrity above all and client advocacy.  My business cornerstones include exceptional communication, extensive market knowledge & community understanding, skilled negotiations, attention to detail, and accessibility.  With the ever-changing market, I diligently work to stay current in both real estate training and market conditions.  Training, licensure updates, certifications, and designations are all a part of my professional routine.  Plus, I’m backed by an amazing team of top agents at Liz Moore and Associates!

I’m very proud of becoming a homeowner myself at 22 years of age.  The home I chose to buy was a foreclosed property and a complete gut job – you name it, we did it!  I can relate to buyers seeking a fixer-upper home or thinking of remodeling.  Now that my home is finished, I can’t say I’d venture enough to do it again – so for those of you out there looking to find your move-in-ready dream home, I’m with you there too!

I am also passionate about staying involved in the local community both professionally and personally.  I regularly attend Realtor sponsored networking events and advocate for my profession.  I am a mentor to children and teens, and also active in church.  I love to spend time contributing to local animal rescues, and have rescued several pets recently!  With so many ways to enjoy the Peninsula culture it can be hard to pick your favorites.  I’m a huge fan of Busch Gardens (love the roller coasters!) and a seasoned veteran of the annual Fall Festival.  I love to spend summers boating on the York River and the Outer Banks beach is just a short drive away!

I’m blessed to be a happy homeowner here in Hampton Roads and want the same for you too!  Your business and referrals are the greatest compliment I can receive.  Let me help turn your dreams into an address, call today!
